Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, OMOYAYI, FNCS, representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, recorded another major political milestone as he was formally presented with the result of the Ogun Central Senatorial Primary Election and officially returned as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the district.
The presentation was made by the Chairman of the Ogun State National Assembly Primary Elections Committee, His Excellency, Comrade Philip Shaibu, who declared Senator Salisu winner of the primary election and handed over the official result, affirming his emergence as the APC candidate for Ogun Central ahead of the next electoral contest.
Speaking after receiving the result, Senator Salisu described the development as a reflection of the trust, confidence, and overwhelming support he continues to enjoy from party leaders, stakeholders, and members across Ogun Central.
He expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and stated that he accepted the mandate with a deep sense of humility and responsibility, noting that the victory was not a personal achievement but a collective success for all party faithful and supporters who share in the vision of a stronger and more prosperous Ogun Central.
In a related development, Senator Salisu was also among dignitaries present at the declaration of the Presidential Primary Election result held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.
During the event, the President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON, congratulated Senator Salisu on his victory in the Senatorial Primary Election. The gesture, according to Senator Salisu, further strengthened his resolve to continue serving the people of Ogun Central with dedication and commitment.
The Ogun Central lawmaker also shared moments with the Deputy President of the Senate and Senator Yunus Akintunde of Oyo Central, describing the engagements as opportunities that reflected the spirit of unity and collaboration within the party and the National Assembly family.
