The Ogun State chapter of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) has selected Hon. Olujobi Ezekiel Fayoyin as its governorship candidate for the 2027 general election.
The party’s primary election was held at the NRM Secretariat in Oke-Ijeun, Abeokuta, where delegates and executives from the 20 local government areas of the state participated in the exercise.
The event was attended by party executives and stakeholders from across the state, all of whom gathered to witness the emergence of the party’s candidate ahead of the next general election.
Addressing journalists after the primary election, Hon. Fayoyin pledged to reposition the NRM for victory in the forthcoming polls. He stated that he is prepared to transform the political landscape of Ogun State by promoting genuine democracy and implementing policies aimed at improving the state’s economy.
He further assured residents that his administration would focus on people-oriented governance and sustainable development through democratic processes that would positively impact the lives of citizens.
Hon. Fayoyin also appealed to the people of Ogun State to support and partner with the NRM in its mission to ensure that the dividends of democracy are felt across every part of the state.
According to him, the party remains committed to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance as preparations begin for the 2027 elections.
